The AAK insists that each citizen be separated from 100 euros due to the pandemic crisis

AAK MP Gazmend Abashi, at the extraordinary session, which is being held for the 2021 draft vote, said citizens should be distributed from 100 euros due to the crisis caused by the pandemic and government-run measures. “Aleance requires further to divide 100 euros for each [...]
“Aleance further requires that 100 euros be shared for each citizen, distribution be made through municipalities, based on family extracts, starting in 2021. Given the situation, caused by measures taken to combat pandemic, which have affected every family in the country, the cost will be higher, and this will be direct aid to each family in Kosovo. This way of distribution is easy and convenient. The Ministry of Finance will handle the budget deficit. In view of the fact that the country is going to the elections, the budget is of particular importance, and it enables the package for economic recovery, we will support the adoption of this draft”, Abrashi said.
Meanwhile, Abrashi, stressed that even in 2022-2023, Kosovo will likely grow by a normal economic growth of 4.4 per cent.
Kosovo's <x09% economy in 2020 is expected to drop to -6 per cent to -7 per cent. Kosovo's economy for 2021 is expected to grow by 5.2 per cent. A faster dynamic of public investment is expected. Real economic growth for 2022 and 2023 is expected to be 4.4 per cent. Budget revenues for 2021 are projected over 1 billion euros, or 5 percent more than revenues in 2020”, Abrashi said.
He further said that the economy is affected by the pandemic, due to the pandemic situation and the government's measures to shut down economic operators.
The 2021 budget preparation process was unusual, because the crisis we are facing has brought great uncertainty. It has affected budget revenues, due to the closure of economic operators. Given that Kosovo's economy has been greatly influenced by the external environment, as a result of negative performance in EU economies, and the closure of economic activity, Kosovo's economy has been associated with a drop in revenues, as well as with reminiscing”, he said. /Periscopi/
