Pristina Mayor Shpend Ahmeti has announced that because of the pandemic situation, 35 people in health staff have been employed for a four-month term.

Covid most of the time has affected health personnel who have been directly in contact with the virus. Much of them have been infected at the risk of their families.
Consequently, due to the need for healing and self-isolation, our capacities to provide services have been hit all the time and especially now. Last week because of demands on Calabria and other QMFs, we have risked the closure of two Family Medical Centers. This has also been the recommendation of managers, not after other options.
On Friday, we decided to hire 35 more people on health staff for a short period of 4 months, 10 doctors and 25 nurses. People have been selected from the last competition, those on the waiting list.
Along with 40 professionals accepted with regular Pristina competitions, Pristina is ready for this front, given that the period of seasonal flu now begins. It is also a good opportunity for unemployed doctors and nurses to contribute to this battle by paying for their work!
