MPJ reacts after Serbian arming: A serious threat to regional stability

Serbia's continuing “Armatos on the part of Russia is a clear threat to the entire region, given Serbia's serious criminal past and efforts to continue its policy by the aggressor in the Western Balkans”, the report said.

As it says The MPJD, this next weapon of Serbia, comes shortly after Russia announced the opening of its office in Serbia's Ministry of Defence, in an effort to deepen military ties and full military-technical co-ordination between the two countries.

“Although Serbia ironically learns that it wants to be part of the European Union, it is consistently playing a completely opposite role, conducting joint military exercises with Russia and Belarus, even reportedly for the participation of regular Serbian military forces (including snipers) in Belarus. Serbia's soldiers have also been viewed actively involved in the conflict in Ukraine, and there are reports of their possible involvement even in the Azerbaijan-Armeni conflict”, said the report further.

According to them, NATO's presence in Kosovo and the membership of the countries of the region in this organisation have contributed to regional security, peace and stability. This prevents Serbia and Russia, which do not meet stability, security and peace in the region. Therefore, all this destructive and dangerous behaviour of Serbia must be condemned and prevented before it is too late.

“While Serbia appears to be set to become a Russian military barn, Kosovo and other countries in our region are designated for the values of civilized and democratic countries. Euro-Atlantic memberships of all our states are the best response to the trends of these countries that are trying to destabilise our region and to constantly threaten peace, security and stability in the Balkans”.
