“I was damaged by my career”, Hashim Rexhepi speaks after the court decided to compensate for over 200 thousand euros

Rexhepi was arrested on charges of abuse of official office, fraud and exercise of influence. He after his release had asked the state for damages of over a million and 600 thousand euros. The amount that has been approved by the Constitutional Court for damage to Rexhepi is 204 thousand euros.

A few days ago, the Constitutional Court has decided on my request for damages compensation, after my 2011 arrest, nine years later it's been set for my indictment”.

And we expect how things will go. There will certainly be complaints from the other side, and we will file a complaint at the Court of Appeals. The amount seems to be 204 thousand euros, here's only part of the damage that's caused me or the lost profit derived from the labour contract I had with the Central Bank”.

While that rest has to do with damage, not material pain, career damage, breakdown of reputation, public image. Based on how much stuff has been processed with my lawyers, we've made a request where around a million and 600 thousand euros is needed for all the damage that's caused me”.

Rexhepi, in the special edition in Klan Kosova, has declared that his arrest was done in spectacular form and that it has greatly influenced him.

The arrest took place in 2010 was one of the most spectacular arrests that has taken place in Kosovo today.
