But this agreement reached at the White House and the recognition of Kosovo by Israel is displeasing to the European Union.
Kosovo's independence opponent, the Spaniard now chief of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, is saying Kosovo and Serbia should not place their embassies in Jerusalem.
Borrell said he expects Kosovo and Serbia to act in accordance with the EU's commitment and in line with their European aspirations.
The EU's long-standing <x0) position is that negotiations should find a way to resolve the status of Jerusalem as the next capital of the two countries and that the aspirations of both sides must be met, the issue of Jerusalem is a matter of final status”, Borrell said, indicating that the 478th resolution of the United Nations Security Council of 1980, calls on all UN members to transfer their embassies to Telviv.
Meanwhile, Kosovo and Israel have now begun negotiations and are soon expected to open the Kosovo Embassy in Jerusalem and even formally recognise each other.
We also remember that Spaniard Joseph Borrell is known as an opponent of Kosovo's independence and lobbied as chief of Spanish diplomacy, not to declare Kosovo's independence and was against it.
