Bosnia and Herzegovina supports dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which takes place in Washington and Brussels and wants to have a sustainable and acceptable solution, Bosnia and Herzegovina's tripartite presidency member, Sefik Xhaferovic, has said in Tirana.
“Bosnia and Herzegovina supports all regional initiatives that respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries. We also support the free movement of goods, citizens, investments and capital throughout the Western Balkans region”, Xhaferovic said at a news conference after meeting with Albania's president, Ilir Meta.
He said Bosnia has the narrowest regime for moving people with Kosovo and that he wants it to improve.
While Albania's president, Ilir Meta, said he has encouraged the member of the tripartite presidency to continue efforts for pragmatic solutions to recognise documents and facilitate the visa regime for citizens from Kosovo.
Meta and Xhaferovic also discussed the possibility of reopening Albania's embassies in Bosnia and vice versa, saying this act would improve bilateral reports.
Bosnia and Herzegovina does not recognise Kosovo's independence.
On 17 June, Bosnia's tripartite presidency had reviewed its member's request, Sefik Xhaferovic, but the decision was not adopted after the other presidency member, Milorad Dodik, had voted against. But it had also voted Croatian presidency member Zelko Komsic.
The decision in the tripartite presidency deals with consensus of the three members.
