The plane carrying 500 pounds [500 kg] of cocaine to Mexico is destroyed

A small plane carrying nearly half a ton of cocaine crashed in Mexico.

It has also been reported that two crew members have died, the Ministry of Defense of Mexico announced.

Mexican military helicopters investigated the plane and followed it for hundreds of miles until it ran out of fuel and crashed into the state area of Queretaro, writes CNN.

The plane carried about 250 pounds [400 kg] of cocaine, Mexican authorities added.

The incident occurred a little less than two weeks after a stolen business plane in Mexico crashed in the Guatemalan jungle. And in that accident, two people died while carrying drugs and guns.
