Mortar remains of at least two people, allegedly missing Albanians during the war, have been found during the day in northern Mitrovica.
The Conception Race from the Government Commission for Missing Persons has shown in the special edition of Klan Kosova that mortore remains have been found during excavations at the cemetery of Muslim believers.
The <x0Mbi information base that has been dealt with in advance in the sense of analyzing and detailed reviews like any information or given that connects to opportunities to illuminate or solve cases of persons who continue to be missing as a result of the war in Kosovo, we have returned today to the cemetery location of Muslim believers in northern Mitrovica. During August and September, we worked at this location. Today, we have returned in search and in an effort to find two people -- two Albanians executed by Serbian forces during the recent war in Kosovo -- and then buried in the cemetery of Muslim believers in an attempt to lose track of crime”.
After all, it was about burying in the city's cemetery space, without accurate information, the possibility of error is very great because we're talking about the space of the cemetery. In the assessment dig, it has resulted in the discovery and exhumation of two people who are victims of war. Now it remains to follow forensic procedures from the Law Medicine Institute, as the digging and exhumation of the mortar waste has been carried out by experts from this institute, in the presence of the Commission for Missing Persons and the War Crimes Police Sector and certainly in the application of the Special Prosecutor's ordinance”.
But when is the identity of the mortar remains found today?
“Identification procedure, in addition to necessary forensic procedures, sending samples for DNA analysis takes some time, at least four weeks, since we will have the support of the International Commission on Missing Persons, respectively, the lab for this commission. This commission from 2003 is involved in this process in cases of dealing with missing persons' cases as a result of the Kosovo war, and DNA analysis is provided by this international commission. It is important that the moment we have identification, the family of identified persons will be notified over time and it is always the family's right to decide on the date and place of redependence”.
The race has said there will soon be excavations at this location in Mitrovica, since there may be other morto remains.
He has also indicated that several other locations already have been marked in Kosovo, where excavations are expected to take place in search of the mortore remains of missing persons until he has warned of excavations on Serbia's territory as well.
We're going back to this location in the next few weeks, given the information that's been analyzed during these days, we've come to the conclusion that there are at least five people, but of course the necessary excavations and further forensic procedures in the sense of examination, we'll know the number of victims. However, we will return to this location in an effort to find and exhumation even of other war victims currently on the list of missing persons”.
“Krahas location in Mitrovica, which will be handled with priority, are also a series of locations in Kosovo that are marked. We also expect that soon we will have the starting date of digging at a location in Serbia's territory, until over the past two weeks we have been for evaluation visits to two locations on the territory of Serbia”.
