Wessel: Skenderbee inspired us every time we were in danger

Wessel wrote that Skenderbeu has inspired generations whenever our people were in danger.

The feeling for dignity, for freedom, for resistance to the earth, has no stronger example in Albanian history than in the figure and example of Gjergj Kastriot Skenderbeu. We find this feeling throughout Albanian history when it had to be god of people and of earth. This example of courage and the legacy Kastriot left has inspired many others whenever our people were in danger. We find it in the picture and sacrifice of Adem Demach, in the sacrifice of the brothers Gervala and Kadri Zeka, and as a crown to the idea of the people and the earth, we find it in the historical example of the KLA. It was this feeling that today created conditions of freedom, perspective, and vision. A society built on this foundation certainly has a future.
