VV MP responds to construction at Badovci Lake

He has written on Facebook that this lake is a public asset of vital importance to the citizens of Pristina, and not only, adding that the government or construction businesses cannot destroy water resources exploited by 1/3 of Kosovo's population for human benefit.

We call on Komun and MMPH to stop these destructive actions of public wealth from benefiting most of our citizens”, he wrote, listing several points regarding Badovci Lake.

The lake's reassemblement zone is 109 km2.

In February 2014, the water level was in an alarming state, as a consequence of the already dry winter, the situation is almost similar as a result of last year's lack of rainfall and current January.

The second area has a 200m wide, residential buildings, businesses and recreation development in that area should not be planned, as this 200m-long area is a region close to the lake and the danger is permanent waste.
Also, the III area, which has a surface of 109 km2, all discharges on the water-gatherers should be addressed before they can be spilled to Lake Badovci”, Bajcinovci wrote.
