Thaci: Albin Kurti to come and get the warrant, or publicly reject it

The head of state said he has signed the decision to mandate Vetevendosje Chairman Albin Kurti for prime minister, until he has called on him to accept the same decision. And in case of rejection, Thaci said it is Kurt's right to publicly refuse to form the government.

He said that the will of the people of Kosovo is greater than any leader and the will to move faster on Kosovo's citizens is greater than the claim to hostage a process, a state and a people.

I want to hope and invite him again to not continue my decision that I have signed that Albin Kurti has been nominated as prime minister. So my signature in the warrant decision exists, is on my desk and awaits. I want to express my responsibility as president of the country, responsibility for representation of political unity and citizens, but stressed that the will of the people of Kosovo is greater than any leadership and the will to move faster of Kosovo citizens is greater than the claim of holding a process, a state and a people hostage. I expect that the decision that I have signed, thinking it will take after it has already been declared, campaigned as a candidate for prime minister, named half the government, so it is perfectly normal, logical and responsible that, in the sense of physical or physical, or through other communication, I officially accept the nomination as prime ministerial candidate. If not, then of course it is his right to reject the public, official that is not ready, but that remains responsible for respecting the will of the electorate, but primarily of all Kosovo citizens and the state of Kosovo”, he said.

President Thaci said that citizens have voted for institution creation and not for the creation of unnecessary vacuums, and in this direction he said he believes that there will be no political spectrum engagement.

This consequence of political developments responds to and requires from the addresses of political parties, from parliamentary parties, so I want to hope in state responsibilities, respect of civic will and of course not enter a phase of a stalemate or a refusal to build the country's institutions. Because people have voted to build institutions and not to create unnecessary vaccines. Therefore, I want to hope in political culture, political spectrum, political leaders, and in this direction I believe that there will be no lack of political spectrum commitments and political leaders”, he said.

Asked about the possibility of terming another party, Thaci said Kosovo will not be blocked even long.

Kosovo will not be blocked for long either, but we will once again see all the possibilities of political variations that have political party addresses, their responsibility of respecting civic will, but also constitutional and legal responsibilities. All citizens who have voted must respect and, of course, not just a political address. I continue to firmly believe that we will move in the right direction so that we can continue to implement the priorities we have as Kosovo's state, either for visa liberalisation or for our Euro-Atlantic future”, he said.

About the possibility of it addressing the Constitutional Court for failing to submit the mandate's name, Thaci said he would expect the political spectrum to drain all communication opportunities for institution building, and then I will see for steps to take. /
