Selmanaj: Vetevendosje why he won the election, doesn't mean he gets the prime minister

Kosovo Assembly MP from the ranks of the Democratic League of Kosovo Driton Selmanaj says that the fact that the Vetevendosje Movement has won the elections does not mean that the prime minister must be the political subject. The past “has shown that if you win the elections does not mean you get the prime minister. The Vetevendosje movement has won the right to be a host to choose with whom to make a coalition. The Sovereign alone gave it to him, that right”, Selmanaj said.
Selmanaj, among other things, said they are emancipating Vetevendosje Movement, and they have done so even while in opposition.
“The LDK is now under trial for two months, blaming us, almost everyone with certain exceptions. Have votes been stolen, have everything been done by the PDK, but respect for the Parliament, the Constitutional Court and other institutions has always been made by the LDK. In two years of opposition to VV, you have seen no moment with tear gas, no attacks on Prime Minister Haradinaj, no eggs or violent street protests. We have decided to emancipate even this political party”, Selmanaj said in Click on RTV 21.
He said that the Vetevendosje Movement has demanded the pledge that they have their votes to elect the president, while he called insult to Albin Kurti's request to show the president's name, as it is a sign of no confidence, according to Selmanaj.
“Albin Kurti has said that once all options have been taken, we give LDK a chance to give a name but will pass through the VV leadership to assess whether this person deserves the presidential post. Isn't that an insult to LDK? The LDK has never proposed an unworthy candidate”, Selmanaj said.
