Analyst Blerim Vela has commented on controversial statements the LDK deputy chairmans Vjosa Osmani of Agim Veliu have made following the VV bid to increase the number of ministries to 14.

Vela wrote on Facebook that these statements show how the meeting of two days ago went between American Ambassador and LDK officials, and also what his order was.

He says Agim Veliu is not expressing personal attitude but has become the spokesman of figures and MPs who are opposing the coalition with the VV.

On the other hand, he says it is Vjosa Osmani who is openly proselytising with Albin Kurti's party.

Analyst Vela says Veliu and the others are blocking the agreement because they are afraid of the absolute power of the Vetevendosje Movement.

Power “absolut” and offer that breaks principles

The counterpronouncement between the two LDK deputy speakers about co-governing with the LVV is about how the meeting with Ambassador Costnet and what his orders were. This way, Agim Veliu is not just expressing an individual position, but he has become the spokesperson of all those LDK figures and deputies who, at any cost, refuse to reach agreement on co-ordination with LVV. On the other hand, the voice of hope for the future in LDK, Vjosa Osmani, is openly emerging in defense of the principles and attitudes he held ahead of the elections with only LVV.

The reason they're using the Veliu & Co group. To block the deal is danger from the absolute power of LVV. This presumption, however, is critical of the LDK itself because it prejudges that it will have no influence in government in view of its political burden on the Parliament and its future coalition with LVV. For anyone who understands how decisions are made in the Assembly, while the winning party, LVV, has only 29 deputies, each adopting laws and government positions will depend on the support of 28 LDK deputies. So the LDK has the subx0>s control mechanism for <x0 assurances” to possible LVV attempt to install absolute power. The LDK veto is now blocking every launch at LVV.

On the other hand, Vjosa Osman's position is encouraging for reaching a deal with LVV. Its move to protect its voters' will for change is undoubtedly an expression of courage and political leadership that you do not see in other political parties. Vjosa Osmani has decided to choose from the menu rather than be on it. The reluctance of other politicians of the new <x0 Judes” in LDK to clearly declare and in support of Vjosa Osman is also an indication of their political opportunism. They seem to view politics as an opportunity to achieve only personal goals in their political career and not as service to the ideals and will of voters.

The LVV's latest offer to increase the number of ministries is a two-foot violation of one of their basic promises made before and during the election campaign. As it seems, power is creating “the back of ideals and principles at LVV. This “normalisation” political LVV will certainly be seen as adapting and recognising it with unselective practices in the country when the parties were more shopping at the expense of institutions than protecting them from depreciation and political shock. But, LVV before “normalisation” such political (leave for MPB, president and government growth) needs “morturation<x7 political framework based on judgment, courage and action beyond narrow political interests.

The most acceptable solution would be if The LDK was to lead with 6 ministries and propose the country's accession candidate for president, while LVV was leading the Assembly, Government and 4 ministries. LVV and LDK must stick to the joint government promise of 12 ministries. The honest distrust was not and is not linked to the size of government, but to the division of responsibilities and leadership of key institutions. The bid for co-governance should address only this issue and tell you if there are LVV and LDK willing to sacrifice some of their political interest for the general good. This is the compromise Kosovo needs and prevents the tendencies for absolute power from each party.
