Second quarter of the school year, police with appeals for increased attention in traffic

In the case of the beginning of the second half-year of the 2019/20 school year in elementary and high schools, Kosovo Police wish a good and successful year for all students, parents and educational staff, and in this case called on all traffic participants to increase long-term care [...]
This call for increased road safety is primarily directed to drivers to take into account the presence of pupils on the street, especially in areas close to school objects, to be cautious and to respect traffic rules and signs so that the safety of students can be increased during the move from house to school and, in other ways, is said in communiques.
Students and other pedestrians are also required care and increased attention, and they are advised not to walk on circuit strips but to walk on sidewalks, while crossing the street using marked pedestrian crossings.
In areas of the road where there are no sidewalks, the infantry must move near the edge of the road on the left side of the direction of movement, do not carry headphones in their ears, and be careful while walking.
Considering that we are in the winter season when low temperatures prevail that can be followed by snowfall and frost on the road, these factors have a effect on the increase in accidents and difficulties in circulation. For children's safety, parents are instructed to accompany their young children from house to school and, in turn, to be careful that children's clothing is appropriate for this season and to contain reflective materials to be more easily observed by other participants in traffic”, the Kosovo Police points out.
If students' transport is done by vehicles, let not the flow of traffic with irregular stoppages on the streets or at school entrances, but use appropriate spaces or any parking space near school.
Kosovo police warn legal measures against those who violate traffic laws and regulations, and with such actions endanger participants or prevent traffic flows.
