QKUK: The number of magnetic resonances and radiological services increased

According to KKUK, the commitment of the Kosovo Hospital Service and University Clinic management and the Radiology Clinic, to equip themselves with new equipment and reorganising the work, have contributed to the increase in the number of available services.
According to this clinic report, 9 thousand 133 Magnetic Resonance Controls were conducted with the operation of the clinic staff during 2019, since 5 thousand and 826 had been conducted.
Based on the same statistics, the number of computerized Tomography(CT) has marked growth;
In 2019, 21 thousand and 501 were realized, versus 19 thousand and 922, which were performed in 2018. In 2019 they performed 1086 TK angjiography until 386 TK angiography was completed in 2018.
The staff of this clinic, there is an increase of about 95% in the number of biopsies performed, implementing 707 soos, and a year ago it was conducted 362 biopsy.
The increase has also been in the number of radiograms that have been implemented 77 thousand 338 compared with the preceding year, where 76 thousand and 668 radiograms were performed.
During this year, after equipment with the second Magnetic Resonance System and a computerized Tomography device (TK – CT), it is expected to increase the number of services and increase their quality, since the clinic is supplied with three automatic injections.
The Radiology clinic, under way, is expected to soon set up new spaces, providing optimum conditions for staff and patients with the new ward.
