Mustafa: Rugova failed to see the things he had built

On the occasion of 14th anniversary of the death of Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova, the Democratic League of Kosovo has held the memorial academy

The chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said Kosovo has lost the man of freedom and independence.

According to Mustafa, former President Rugova failed to see the things he had built.

“In this anniversary we are remembering with the highest honours, the first chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo and the historic president of Dr. Ibrahim Rugova. We lost the man of freedom the idea of independence. The president was separated from this life and failed to see the house stamp that he himself had built”, Mustafa said.

Mustafa stressed that Rugova became a symbol of peace and resistance, as he said, Rugova at every cost worked to make Kosovo part of Europe and enjoy these relations with the friendly states.

“Rugova worked for the idea of independence, as the leader was special. He rejected Serbian propaganda. It became a symbol of peace and love that had always been ruled by firearms and terror. It became a symbol of resistance, at all costs I prove that Kosovo belongs to Europe. I create Kosovo with many friends who had influence, with the US and other friendly states”, Mustafa has said.

Kosovo deserves to become an economically developed country and be loved by its citizens. Rugova wrote about our natural assets that give the seal this country and add identity to these people. God bless Ibrahim Rugova”, Mustafa said.
