The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on Kosovo citizens to avoid travel to China, as the deadly virus called “conavirus”, which erupted last month in the town of Wuhan, has also emerged in Tibet, and thus confirmed its presence throughout Chinese territory.
Chinese public health authorities have announced that 7,711 people infected in China have been confirmed so far, while according to the World Coronavirus Health Organization has spread to at least 15 other countries in the world, including Switzerland, France and Germany.
The death toll from coronavirus, which allegedly exploded from an animal reservoir, has increased to 170, while scientific efforts to find the virus's killer vaccine have intensified, even though the World Health Organization says it is dangerous that it will not take another few months.
Kosovo's Ministry of Foreign Affairs invites all Kosovo citizens abroad to avoid going to places where there is doubt of exposure to this virus, since the World Health Organization's greatest concern is its human transport to man.
Also invited are all Kosovo citizens who may be trapped in China, or have symptoms of infection from this virus (although location), contact the nearest embassy for help.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also calls on relevant health and national security institutions to implement the necessary measures to prevent this epidemic at the borders of the Republic of Kosovo, stopping at the border points of the infected and potential suspects, including isolation from contact with people, quarantine and monitoring their health.
More detailed public information on the threat from the epidemic can be found on the World Health Organization website, which has also warned that it will soon be able to make a decision to declare the state of emergency for protection from the killer virus.
