An agreement for the highly talked about and promoted coalition between the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo does not seem to be near.
Today, the Vetevendosje Movement has submitted a new offer towards the Democratic League of Kosovo, where the increase in the number of ministries from 12 to 14, one of which will meet the LDK and a minority, writes news.net.
This VV bid, LDK deputy chairman Agim Veliu, has called it non-serious, considering that the VV is seeking absolute power to underestimate and dominate the LDK.
On the other hand, news.net has spoken with analyst Blerim Burjani, who has indicated that the likelihood of the coalition is minimal.
According to him, the deal has been difficult after the election of Glauk Konjufca chairman of the Parliament.
The “Gjas are minimal for a coalition, even though the latest VV bid for LDK was genoreous that it had to do repeatedly and not at the end of this process. I think it's over and it's negative since the LDK feels it's finally overlooked by the choice of the VV's chief parliamentary Conjufca and that the president until 2021 has no competition that can be granted to LDK. The LDK sees this process as complete at the moment, their vocabulary is always “we examine”, but it seems there has been no will from the start for a” coalition, Burjani told news.
Furthermore, Burjani has indicated that the goal of the negotiations of these two parties does not appear to be the coalition.
According to Burjani, the LDK is constantly “under consideration”, while Vetevendosje has made mistakes in steps towards reaching an agreement.
I don't have the impression that the LDK during the campaign and after 6 October has aimed at the coalition. More like a political game. More unilateral VV proposals have made proposals, but also mistakes such as taking the post without agreement with LDK have cost them perhaps even at the loss of the deal. There is only one solution at the moment, to propose technical government 6 to 9 months, during this time to reform electoral law and make constitutional changes”, Burjani told news.
Furthermore, Burjani has added that the coalition between these two parties may be functional, but according to him, the challenges he would face are huge.
“The coalition may be functional but as if each ministry so far responds to its own party, but not to the prime minister why they claim to oppose the parties on the issue. Perhaps it would be able to implement self-control in justice and police, economic development will remain the biggest problem for these parties, then challenges such as health protection, sectoral reform and diplomatic service, and others remain major challenges”, Burjan said at the end.
It is noteworthy that there is still no official LDK position that responds to the latest Vetevendosje Movement's bid for coalition.
