Kosovo President Hashim Thaci today has officially sent his letter to Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurti to meet on Monday, January 6th at 1500.
This is the fourth time the president has sent Kurt a letter inviting them to discuss the mandate for government creation. Kurti, though days ago he has agreed to meet with Thaci today, has not issued any statements on the issue.
In the meantime, it is not known whether any co-governance agreement has been reached with the Democratic League of Kosovo since they have no longer met, at least in public.
The news.net has tried to contact VV officials if any meeting with LDK is to be held, the same has not been accessible.
On the other hand, the LDK has invited the party's leadership to gather at 9: 00 a.m. before the Thaci- Kurti meeting on Monday.
LDK Deputy Chairman Vjosa Osmani, who was also a candidate for prime minister from this party, said it would be a historic mistake for the country if no agreement with Vetevendosje is reached.
I can't talk about what the new position will be. But I think it would be a historic mistake for the country if there were no agreement with Vetevendosje. As a host of the LDK's list and voter representative, I have a duty to send civil will to the end. I'll insist to the end of”, Osman said.
Relations between the VV and LDK have been exacerbated when on December 26th at the Convention Constituent session, Vetevendosje proposed Glauk Konjufka for chief parliament without LDK knowledge.
Even though the LDK Parliamentary Group has voted in favour of Konjufca for the chairman of the Parliament, party leader Isa Mustaf seemed to have been devastated.
“is the obligation of the election winner to avoid delays and eliminate obstacles to institutional formation. We did our job, we unblocked the process, despite having no agreement, and no notice that the VV will proceed with the Speaker of the Parliament.
For the sake of truth, The LDK, not that it has refused, has estimated it should meet the Chief Parliamentary with the deal”, Mustafa said.
As Kurti said the LDK assigns me the meeting and the establishment of the new government, Mustafa said in his response that this issue belongs to Vetevendosje as it is the first party in the election. Both leaders, on these issues, communicated only through social and media networks.
Whether Kurt will go to meeting with Thaci with a co-governance agreement with LDK remains to be understood Monday after the meeting. /Lajmi.net/
