An earthquake of 5.7 on the Richter scale hit China's Xinjiang province today, the European-Mediterranean Seismology Centre announced. The quake occurred about 100km east of Kashgari in the far west of China, at a depth of about 10km, Reuters reports. Material damage or human casualties are not reported
