Former Kosovo Consulate partner in US sentenced to 9 years in prison

Former Kosovo Consulate partner in New York Albert Veliu has been sentenced to nine years in prison for gun trafficking and money laundering, reports New York Daily News.

According to these reports, Veliu was reportedly sentenced Thursday by the Federal Court of Brooklyn.

The 37-year-old man was caught in the process in August 2017, when he tried to organise the sale of a dozen AK-47 weapons and a rocket ammunition he called “at”>>>>. Until he made half a thousand dollars worth of laundry.

I'm very ashamed”, Veliu said at the Court. There's a decision I'll regret the rest of my days”.

Veliu boasted that his work at the consulate and the poor security of his airport allowed him to smuggle easily.
