Kosovar Edo Berisha who was part of I SIS says happy that it has returned to Kosovo

Charged for involvement in terrorist group I SIS, Edon Berisha, at the initial session held Tuesday at the Special Department of the Foundation Court in Pristina, has pleaded guilty to this criminal act.

Later, accused Berisha has announced the court that he had tried to return to Kosovo after going to Syria, but had been detained by members of the terrorist group I SIS.

Lawyer Matoshi has demanded from the court that, on the occasion of the conviction's appointment, take into consideration as voluntary guilty circumstances for her protection, sincere repentance, co-operation with the law bodies and the burdened economic situation of her client.

I propose that the court takes as extenuating circumstances its plea, repentance, co-operation with organs from the very beginning, because the same is under self-preservation, is unemployed, the fact that it has never been convicted of criminal acts, and the promise that it will not repeat such actions in the future”, said lawyer Matosi.

The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, on December 30th 2019, has filed an indictment against Edo Berisha, due to criminal work “organisation and participation in terrorist group”, from Article 143, paragraph 2.
