The promotion of transport workers in France against pension reform has entered 29th day, marking the longest protest ever held by May 1968.
The industrial plan against French President Emmanuel Macron for pension reform has mostly hit train services.
Under these reforms, those who retire before the age of 64 will receive lower retirement.
The government has said changes are needed to make the system more fair, but trade unions say otherwise.
Discussions between unions and the government are expected to take place on January 7th.
In his speech about the holiday season, Macro has vowed not to give up his plan, which will require residents to work harder.

Protests have resulted in chaos throughout France.
Many French people who have planned to spend holiday days with family and friends have been blocked because of cancelling the train trip and planes.
