Turkey's President, Recep Erdogan, has said Turkey will give a good lesson to Libyan General Khalifa Haftar if his forces continue attacks against the government recognised by international factors in Libya.
Erdogan issued this statement during a televised speech after General Khalifa and Libyan government Chairman Fayez al-Sarray left Moscow without a ceasefire agreement.
The conflict rivals did not meet face-to-face, but their delegations held closed-door talks with top diplomats and military officials from Russia and Turkey, who have repeatedly called for a ceasefire.
Speaking during a meeting with party members in Ankara, Erdogan called Haftar a pucist and accused him of leaving Moscow.
Despite that, we think the talks in Moscow were positive, because they showed the real face of the Haftar pull before the international community”, the head of the Turkish state said.
He warned that Libya will be discussed again on January 19th in Berlin, Germany, writes “Free Europe”
