According to British media, the quake struck shortly before 6: 00 a.m., and it was so powerful that one sleeping woman thought that one tree had fallen into her home while another believed there was an explosion.
But according to British media, emergency teams were quick to ensure people that it was just a small earthquake for which “British Geological Survey” said it was power 2.8 on the Richter scale.
The Epicentra is said to be Stockton-on-Tes, the Durham District, but people throughout the region reported having felt the quakes.
