China today announced the closure of many sectors of the Great Wall, as well as other symbol monuments in Beijing, under measures to control the spread of the coronary.
” The Ming Dynasty tomb and the Temple Forest will be closed starting on Saturday”, authorities responsible for the monuments stressed. The Beijing National Stadium, the so-called “Bird” nest, built for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, also closed today with the aim of preventing and controlling the spread of the disease.
More than 40 million Chinese have already been isolated in their cities, in line with safeguards against viral pneumonia.
In all, 13 municipalities have taken restrictive measures in the Huhan region, the 11 million-strong metropolis, the site of the epidemic's origin that erupted in December.
According to a recent balance, the disease has affected 830 people in China, of whom 26 have died.
