Coronavrus alert Russia closes border with China

The Kremlin's decision comes as an attempt to protect the country, which currently does not record any cases of the deadly virus, while each Chinese region already has confirmed cases.

The measures include total closure of the land border, restriction of transport, where only Moscow-Pekin train will be functional, as well as suspension of visa issuing for Chinese citizens.

“We must do everything in our power to protect our people”, said the new Russian prime minister, Mikhail Misustin.

In China alone, more than 8,200 cases of Corleone have been confirmed, while about 100 cases are recorded outside Chinese borders.
