For several days the workers of the Regional Waste Company “Cabrati” who are responsible for the garbage collection across the territory of the Gjakova municipality are on strike.
The organisation of this strike started Thursday, and according to organisers will continue in the coming days, until the fulfillment of their demand, which is to ensure by the shareholder, in this case, is the Gjakova municipality that there will be no changes or any dismissal of the management of this company, namely, the chief executive chief and who is Berat Hadri.
The strike workers say that with the dismissal of the company's Board of Directors and the appointment of the new board, movement will take place in the company's internal management.
“Cabrat director”, Berat Hadri, said this strike has been organised against his will and has urged organisers to stop the same work and begin regular according to the previous operational plan.
But his request has been encountered in the deaf ears of workers who do not want Hadri to be dismissed from the manager's position
Because of its lack of garbage collection, the situation in the city of Gjakova has been exacerbated, even in the city center.
Also, a large part of the city, including the entire neighbourhood “Orize” known as the “New Block”, as well as roads that include the eastern part of the city, from the path of “U n CK” downtown by “road Skenderbeu” where many roads are bound has not been removed.
