Police in the Canadian capital responded to multiple shootings around 7:30 local time, and three people with urgency were taken to the hospital, reportedly in a police statement, Klan Kosova reports.
In this statement, police were said to be looking for the suspect, and no other details were given.
Local media quoted Police Inspector Francois D'Aoust as saying the shots had a target.
In 2014 a person attacked parliament, where a soldier was shot dead in a memorial of war. The striker was shot dead by parliament's security personnel and the shooting was later classified as a terrorist attack.
