Turkey has been hit this Wednesday by some relatively powerful earthquakes that have continued during today.
Last day, a 5.4-magnitude quake of the Richter scale has swept over western Turkey, but fortunately besides the panic caused has not gone through material damage or hurt persons.
Meanwhile, earthquakes have also felt in the Turkish state capital of Ankara today. In the early hours of the morning, citizens have been shaken by an earthquake of 3.8 magnitudes and hours later by one more and stronger 4.5.
Images published by local media in Turkey show the shock and panic caused by citizens who have fled their homes immediately, but not only. Earthquakes are frequent in Turkey as it lies along one of the most active seismic areas in the world. /Tch
