Displaced citizens from Syria headed to areas near the Turkish border, due to the two-day attacks, which forced 12,884 civilians to flee their homes, the Response Co-ordination Group reports, broadcast Telegrafi.
Residents fled their homes in Khan al-Asal, Kafr Naha and Ain Jara because of Russian air strikes.
I lived in the village of Khan al-Asal in the west of Alepos. We fled the attacks, but I don't know where to go. We will probably go to the Dana region of Idlieb”, said Ahmed Ali, who fled the area.
Because of increasing population, the tent camps in Idlib are not filling the need for accommodation, as there is not enough space to place more tents.
In September 2018, Turkey and Russia agreed to turn Idlibin into a deilitarized area in which acts of aggression are forbidden.
Since then, more than 1,300 civilians have been killed in attacks by the regime and Russian forces, as the ceasefire continues to be violated.
