Syria seeks to withdraw all US, Turkish forces from its territory

Foreign Minister Walid al-Moalem's remarks at the UN General Assembly took place as Turkey and the United States press ahead with an agreement to establish a safe zone along the Syrian border with Turkey.
On the political front, he reaffirmed the government's support for the recently agreed committee to draft a new constitution for the country. As has been the government's tone since the beginning of the 2011 uprising in Syria, the foreign minister took a difficult line, stressing that there should be no interference from any country or deadline imposed on the process.
