Serbian politicians in Kosovo: Serbian List Continues With Threats and Threats

According to them, the Serbian List is continuing with the method of 2017, with pressure and threats even during this campaign. Rassic said that in the last weeks of the election pre-fund, now official campaign, they are working under pressure.

According to him, the pressure is only growing by becoming more aggressive and brutal.

Rassic said that as a result of such threats, health workers have been fired.

This is from the very beginning of this creature in 2013, which has worked in all election processes, which continues to this day even stronger, more aggressive. All my associates must be sure, to be all safe and sound and nothing bad happens, election results are in the second row, because first comes security for everyone. When talking about the election programme, I will stress three more important pillars: the first pillar of action or reinforcement of the Serb Corps in Kosovo institutions in order not only to initiate dialogue but that dialogue to push within Kosovo institutions and there will be a epilogue of reconciliation between the two peoples. This is the most important thing that I regret I have not seen in the last seven years that someone has worked this way on this issue, but have worked on the other «otherwise. Since it is the Serb List with the other political parties we have a total disinheritation of Serbs in Kosovo institutions”, he said.

Speaking about the programme, he said they have a priority for economic development and aim to subsidise companies in order to strengthen their capacities.

He also said he will deal with the employment of Kosovo Serbs.

Slobodan Petrovic, chairman of the Independent Liberal Party, said dozens of people are out of work, hundreds without social assistance, while according to him there are concrete arguments that have been delivered to the prosecution.

According to him, there was no reaction to those events.

This is everything but a campaign, sorry, this is what we've been warning for months, these are the things we're scared of and happening. These were done to a greater extent than we expected. For the problem to become even bigger, we have had this in 2014 and 2017, in the recent parliamentary elections, all these details, all these pressures, threats are in European observer reports, they have given over 20 suggestions in what way and who has threatened and who has been hundreds of people threatened have been from the Serb List, and none of the suggestions have been respected... The Serbian community is afraid, they have never had a more difficult situation than they have today and just incredible, but true, that those who should be protecting Kosovo Serbs, they make the pressure and have the biggest problems with them”, he said.

According to Aleksandar Jablanovic of the Kosovo Serb Party, he said Serbs in Kosovo are not afraid of Albanians, but Serbs themselves.

“Serbs every day and less fear Albanians, and every day more Serbs, our environments are not healthy for living. Our theme is to more actively solve this problem”, he said.

Speaking of the government programme, he cited Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and borders.

We should melt that dialogue because it has to do first for us. We are for Belgrade's interests in Kosovo that want to be carried out through dialogue, but for that reason we will not accept that our goals and interests be put aside. The subject for boundaries, we have no one with whom to set boundaries. What we expect from the elections is a good result for the Kosovo Serb party and for the parties of my co- talkers here, we all deserve and we want to present our people properly without any involvement. The start of the campaign is the same as in 2017, the campaign is aggressive, often with criminal methods applying our colleagues from the Serbian List that have not come here today”, he said.

He said they are awaiting police and court reactions for all those threats he claims they have seen and recorded.

At the table organised by the Kosovar Foundation for Open Society, Serbian List representative Goran Rakiq did not attend, which was said to be sent invitations but received no answers.
