Vetevendosje Movement candidate for prime minister Albin Kurti, speaking of the post-election coalition with the LDK, has today declared that there must be caution on who is gaining the people's trust in MPs from the ranks of this party.
As he says, there are some people within the LDK who love PDK before LVV.
“This is the third consecutive LDK error since it came out of V LAN joined the PDK and now that he didn't coalition with the VV. We need to follow carefully who is winning the Kosovo Assembly from its MP's list, because there are those who do not prefer us and are for The PDK ... we need a stable government with more than 61 deputies”, Kurti said.
In the Riinvest college's “Talk to Talk” debate, Kurti also spoke of many other issues, where he expressed readiness for co-operation with President Hashim Thaci, but stressed that in his government, the first state would limit maneuvering space.
“He cannot behave with me as if he did in the past term with Prime Minister Haradinaj. We'll definitely have communication, we can have cooperation. But we cannot have it when the president opposes government policy. His maneuver space will be smaller. It would have been good to give up the position of president, now we will also make the Law for Early Pension”, Kurti said.
The candidate for prime minister for dialogue with Serbia said that since the first week at the top of the executive will begin contact with Kosovo Serb citizens.
Kurti stressed that it is not up to those people who try to complete the dialogue before the elections in Serbia next year.
The “in the first week will begin dialogue with Kosovo Serbs. In the first month, I will assess all agreements that have been made with Serbia. Also in the first month, I will start meetings with the EU to prepare for dialogue with Serbia. I do not belong to those people who try to finish the dialogue before elections in Serbia next year”, Kurti said.
The LVV chairman also spoke of the governing programme and principles.
The state has three main pillars, justice, development and the social aspect. We in Kosovo believe that the capture of the state is deeper than corruption. The rule of law is vital, because we can't get rid of the state, we won't have the perspective. At this in the rule of law, we're parasing ourselves that can't take more than two years. That doesn't mean we have to wait two years for justice, but we have to wait for an active prosecutor and justice. We need war and peace crimes tried. The prosecution's inaction is too frustrating to judge these. The developing state should help with the development bank. Let's take all public companies to a sovereign fund. This is the state's industrial policy tool in this case we will put in a board with a head of its own that would have the right experience for all public companies to restruct”, he said.
Kurti reaffirmed that he will respect the Kosovo flag in the prime minister's office, while pledging that there will be about 30 per cent of his cabinet's women in government.
