Kadri Wessel calls leaders to sign the Anti-Corruption Pact: Citizens await action, not words (Video)

Chairman The PDK, Kadri Veselini, has proposed a ten-point pact to sign all political parties, and they also pledge they will not have people with charges on their lists.

“Corruption at high levels even our partners, both the US and the EU, have expressed concern about the level of corruption in our country. Fighting corruption is the most critical issue in our agenda. Only if we develop a noncompromising war today are many young people leaving the country because of equal opportunities. No party in Kosovo is clean from mistakes, and I don't think the public expects to play guilt. The public expects to create a new reality”, Wessel said at a news conference, writes Periscope.

The last few weeks I've spoken of a fight against corruption, a clean list of MPs and the government I will lead. I've made some internal decisions in my party. Fighting corruption is not only a matter of any party or coalition, it is an issue that must be fought by all sides. Fighting corruption is not human. I have heard all political leaders in Kosovo say they have to fight corruption without taking any action.”, he said.

“Today I propose a concrete step, enough words. That's why I present today 10 points we leaders have to agree to, in order to renew public confidence in politicians. One of these points, it could be meteralized that this week, to prove to the citizens that we're serious that this week, we can make lists with candidates who have no charges. I call on party leaders to sign this pact and show that we agree to greater policies, such an issue is the fight against corruption”, said Wessel, who has even signed this pact. /Periscope.
