Disturbing but not easily verifiable if it is authentic has called Central Election Commission head Valdete Daka, the video published the day before when a fellow traveler living in European countries, with the V.K. initials, is shown in a video recording by voting with two other girls.
While the voting process continues to be open to fellow countrymen living in different world countries, aka says the prosecution and police must verify the video where the person in question was seen filling 50 scattered ballot papers on the table to be sent to the CEC office in Pristina via the Post.
The voting process outside Kosovo, according to her, is a process that has a vulnerable integrity.
I saw this video this morning. It's disturbing, but the first question is what this authentic video is and how real it is. It's an issue that we like the CEC can't prove by”, she said.
It has made it known that the CEC can only verify documents that are attached to votes, while the rest, if there are manipulations, remain competent.
We like the CEC do all that the law allows. So we do document proof that we attach to these votes, and the question of manipulation then, could be subject to examination by the Prosecutor and Police. We like the CEC, all we can do is verify how true those documents are to us, identify voters, and whether that voter is on the voting list as voters outside Kosovo”, she said.
Acknowledging that such manipulations could even happen, aka also recalled the 2013 case, when the CEC had cancelled thousands of votes from Serbia.
This has happened even with votes from Serbia. You know in 2013 we have cancelled thousands of votes that have been fabricated, but the risk always exists, and the integrity of these votes is always disctabil and vulnerable because there is no other mechanism for protecting this” vote, she said.
