Of the 13 thousand subjects found in all domestic courts, more than 11,000 subjects continue to be unresolved by courts, KTV reports.
As of June of this year, more than 1,700 substances of this nature have been accepted in domestic courts.
In the Pristina Foundation Court alone, out of 4,076 subjects, more than 3,830 remain. In just six months of this year, 243 matter has been accepted.
The largest number of outstanding subjects is to prove ownership.
Subject overload, procrastinating the treatment of these subjects according to attorney Albana Kelmendi, causes these subjects to fail to reach their final verdict for years.
On just one occasion, which Kelmendi represented, the court has taken 11 years to decide on a property dispute.
Procrastination enables damaged parties to realise their property rights.
Within the past week alone, three people in two separate cases were killed as a cause of property problems.
As a result of an armed clash that took place at the Pristina Hospital Quarter, two people from the Mehmet and Rafuna family were killed.
While, just three days ago in a parking lot near the municipality building in Lipjan, a person died of a clash that also occurred as a cause of property problems.
