The newspaper Signal from sources in Pristina's Pristina Prosecutor has learned that the motive of the armed conflict that took place days ago in Matti 1 neighbourhood in Pristina allegedly concerns some concrete bones for which the Mehmet and Rafuna families had accused each other of putting them in front of their locals' steps.
Five presions were injured in this conflict, three passed away at QKUK, while the fourth continues to be in serious health.
It is alleged that 10 days before the murder took place, family member Mehmeti, the Union, after putting concrete bones on local steps, on Rafuna family property had disagreements with Mefail Rafuna.
On the day of the tragedy, however, it is suspected that members of the Rafuna family have removed the concrete bones that the Mehmet family had left with the reasoning that these stones cannot be placed upright but only horizontally.
As a result, I had begun to gossip with insults and then physical strife between brothers Union and Naim Mehmet on one side and Fadil and Mefail Rafuna on the other, who has ended up using weapons.
Who opened fire first?
According to Penal Kallement, it is suspected that Mefail Rafuna had fired the first firearm into the brothers Naim and the Mehmeti Union, which seriously injured him, as well as his uncle, Ghani Rafuna, passersby, the case that had nothing to do with this conflict.
In this situation, the wounded Bashkim Mehmet retaliates with weapons of fire Mefail Rafuna and Fadil Rafuna, leaving them wounded.
As the event was going on, Naim Mehmeti goes to his apartment and gets his <x0-> AK-47”, and heads toward the scene. But before the apartment, I happen to be in a member of the Police who manages to stop him and take his gun.
As a result of injuries suffered by firearms, suspects, the 39-year-old Mehmeti Union and 47-year-old Mefail Rafuna have changed lives in QKUK. A few days later, Ghani Rafuna, 72, also passed away, who at the time of his injury had been passed along with a child with a bag in his hand walking.
Suspect Fadil Rafuna, 51, is being treated in intensive terms, and according to doctors, his condition is serious. It has been banned with a ruling of Procuor and is under police security.
What did the police and prosecutors do in this case?
In regard to this armed attack, Kosovo police have seized three weapons, two pistols, a “A47” and 18 pistols fired. There have been raids at nine locations, three residences of the Mehmeti family, and six other Rafuna family property.
Two Miftar Mehmeti and Naim Mehmeti have been arrested at the scene.
The prosecution interviewed more than six people, witnesses from the scene. Among them is one of Austria's citizens, who has given first aid to one of the injured.
The event that shocked the capital has been named by the prosecution as the “grave murder”. But the suspects are also being investigated for two other criminal acts:“grave murder in co-ordination” and “holds ownership, control or unauthorized possession of weapons”.
