Chairman The PDK, Kadri Veselini, has said it has consistently stressed it will not allow corruption and nepotism under its leadership.
“during yesterday's day I have been informed that someone has been appointed irregularly and violating legal procedures. So, in conversation with the Ministry of Culture, I'm happy to say in front of you that the minister is also well aware and is handling this case. Corruption and nepotism harm us in all areas of life, and we, too, will fight it in all directions, not in words, but in concrete ways”, Wessel said.
He has stressed that the fight against corruption does not end in one day, but requires bold decisions, such as the Ministry of Culture's decision today to dismiss the commission and annul the selection decision.
If I told you last week to fight corruption, we should give as many young people as we started doing it in the PDK and continue”, he added.
As a result of Minister Kujtim Gashi's work, Wessel has said there is now less nepotism and corruption in the field of culture and we can invest even more in young people, preventing them from leaving.
While Minister Kujtim Gashi has said he has entered politics to change things for the better, to fight corruption.
“Rasts like this show corruption is not fought with Molotov cocktails and tear gas. Other parties have done nothing against corruption and nepotism, but they are just looking at us. They are continuing to recruit unfortunately people who are having problems with law”, Minister Gashi said.
Minister Gashi has said the PDK will be presented with a list of clean people, without charges and willing to fight corruption in deeds rather than words.
