Speaking to reporters, Trump did not say when such a meeting will take place.
North Korea has again tested rockets, despite a June 30th meeting between Trump and Kim, in which the two agreed to revive stalled talks.
Gheani said the missile testing has been conducted in response to joint military exercises that were conducted between South Korea and the United States.
The US is aiming for a deal to reach through negotiations to deregulate North Korea.
