During the presentation of Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli and Serbian Ivica Dacic, during the work of the discussion session and debate at the informal Forum of the 28 EU and Balkan foreign ministers, fierce debate took place.
According to an MPJ report, Minister Pacolli reacted to the evil efforts of the chief of Serbian diplomacy to present a constructive role of Serbia in the region and demonstrate Kosovo at such a prestigious forum.
“
You're not an angel, how do you like to look with beautiful words in front of European colleagues. Does European view bus violations, citizens, our businesses at border points, or the territory of Serbia? The scandals you've made across Africa are already known for all“, the minister Pacolli added in his speech.
Meanwhile at the beginning of his speech, Minister Pacolli thanked the Commissioner for Foreign Affairs Federica Moghrini for inviting Kosovo to participate as equals in such an important diplomatic forum.
Praising the sense of Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic affiliation, Minister Pacolli called on the European Union to complete its mission towards Kosovo, helping it to perfect its citizenship, the mission that began with Kosovo's release from genocide, and followed with assistance given in the creation and support of new Kosovo institutions.
Minister Pacolli added that Kosovo and its people are the most isolated of the European continent, and added that this situation should continue.
We have completed our obligations under contract: Please, Kosovars must move free, we deserve Europe because we are Europeans! ”, he added.
Referring to dialogue with Serbia and Serbian claims, Minister Pacolli firmly said the Ahtisaari Plan was the maximum concessions Kosovo has made to Serbia on all plans.
Minister Pacolli reminded this important forum that the status Kosovo has today has full international legitimacy, even accepted by states that oppose independence today.
At the attention of those attending, he brought a declaration adopted in London on 31 January 2006, of the foreign ministers of the Contact Group countries, the EU, where, in addition to three known principles, urged Belgrade to keep in mind that Kosovo's status should have the consent of its people.
The demarcation between the two states meaning mutual recognition is necessary, without territorial adjustment. Kosovo is ready for unconditional dialogue, on the basis of equality, but we are being blocked economically and diplomaticly by Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the region, and throughout”, he said.
Denouncing at this important European forum, Serbia's diplomatic campaigns against Kosovo, where illegal money is being used, the chief of Kosovo diplomacy, said the 100% tax settlement was the legitimate response to this unacceptable situation.
While staying at the forum, Foreign Minister Pacolli had short and fruitful meetings with his counterparts of key European states, with those in the region, etc.
