El Aisami's name since February 2017 is listed by drug traffickers in Washington. He was later charged in the US for avoiding US Treasury sanctions related to drug trafficking, most specifically using private flights from American society.

“You've seen this most popular fugitive?”, writes US immigration police (ICE) on a Twitter post, accompanying her message with a photo of Nicolas Maduro's minister.
