“The workers are committed to their demands for what they have decided through their delegates to go on strike, as we have warned in the peaceful protest of August 8th, that on August 19th we will have a one-hour strike starting from 08.00-09m and on the 20th.08.2019 strike two hours from 08.00-00.00, as well as on the 21st day 21st, we will have a strike all-day”, says the report by the Independent Union of ANP Jashaari.
All service workers that are not of vital importance will participate in the strike.
Airport unionists have invited management to co-ordinate with the union to set up minimum services in order to ensure security and avoid any risk of life and security.
It also stresses that the strike will cease in any case of emergency.
The union has once again invited management into dialogue, so the strike can be stopped.
Workers, represented by the Independent Union, have warned such measures, the cause of dissatisfaction in the treatment of workers, since there have been cases they have been fined by management of up to 16 thousand euros, while due to poor conditions, about 100 workers have quit their jobs.
The union's demands are additions to the risk of direct exposure to health damage, annual rest, elimination of wage differences, as well as widespread.
Otherwise, Pristina International Airport “Adem Jashari”, has announced that despite the warned strike, all flights scheduled for the 19th to 21 August will be realised on time.
