The head of the LDK Parliamentary Group, Avdullah Hoti, in an interview for Online Economy, says the wide political spectrum has agreed to go to the elections, while saying there is no international pressure to form any provisional government.
There are no such demands and our attitude is clear. That's why there's no such demand, because everyone has seen the domestic factors and international partners, I believe that everyone is convinced cannot move forward, cannot go ahead, cannot be led by a government that has no legitimacy. Mayor Mustafa is now meeting ambassadors of friendly countries that are set up in Pristina to market the position to reconfirm the Democratic League's position, even for free elections, but also for the important processes we are going through as a country of”, he says.
The former candidate for prime minister in past elections, says that for the post of first government, there is a firm stance within the LDK.
He says they prefer to go to elections alone.
The prime minister's “Post belongs to the largest and first party. The second of us as the Democratic League have shaped positions there is a time through the LDK bodies, and President Mustafa has re-focused it even after his re-election at the helm of the LDK, which we prefer to go as our own party in this election to measure before citizens, and in line with the will of citizens then behave after elections. The red line term I have the impression that is being used in different contexts, we are in a political competition against other parties to gain the trust of citizens to lead with the country, we have had different experiences of co-operation with different parties that are political today”, he says.
Hoti has also spoken of the possibility of a pre-election coalition with Vetevendosje Movement.
He says there is mutual will for possible co-operation, but adds they have substantial differences in key topics.
Even with the Vetevendosje that is being talked about a lot, we have substantial differences in the governing approach in economic policies. We are centre-right party, they try to profile themselves as the left party or centre-left. We have differences in social policy as well as other themes, but we will move ahead of our agenda as long as we get the greatest trust of citizens in the country and believe that an extraordinary moment for changes in Kosovo has been created, he says.
Hoti reiterates the LDK's stance, that they will no longer co-govern with the PDK, as it says they have bad experiences, EO reports.
Co-operation in two mandates argues, saying that “has been done for the benefit of Kosovo“, even though they have gone very wrong.
“With the PDK we have had co-operation in Rugova's time from 2001 to 2004, at least in these last two governments when we worked together, in these two coalitions we are not well shared because they have never respected the agreements we entered, because we have entered the state agenda of national importance, not for ordinary everyday governance. In that coalition that was in 2008-2010 when independence was declared, it had to be the main political forces in governance, and also the processes in which Kosovo has passed the way Prime Minister Mustafa has governed, in both cases we have extremely bad Kalwa”, he says.
Following Prime Minister Haradinaj's resignation, rumours of a possible pre-election coalition have been frequented between the two largest opposition parties.
