The European House in Pristina today knows to hold a panel discussion on the subject of International Youth Day “voluntary work in Kosovo and its impact on the development of youth”.
The focus of this panel of discussion is to present how the voluntary work registration is working through the Volunteering Platform and Data Base to Volunteer work managed by the MKRS, as well as to introduce the voluntary work of several well-known youth organisations operating in the municipality of Pristina and have experience in the past in community work and in promoting youth rights. The panel also aims to examine how volunteerism affects the personal and professional development of youth.
Volunteers on the panel are Vedat Jashari, director of the Youth Development Division at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Marigona Sohabu, executive director of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights I RDNJ, Erleta Morina é community organiser in Termokis and Hannah Ilazi, project co-ordinator at Peer Educators Network PEN.
International Youth Day is a day of awareness set by the United Nations. The purpose of this day is to draw attention to certain cultural and legal issues involving youth. For the first time The DNR was marked on August 12th in 2000.
