Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, today, has decorated residents of the village of Cegran of the Gostivar municipality with “the Order of Freedom” because in 1998 and 1999 the doors open for Kosovo Albanians who were leaving the war.
“Nearly one million Albanians from Kosovo were forced to abandon their homes to escape the massacres of the Serbian regime in 1998 and 1999. A large part of them were sheltered in the village of Cegran in the Gostivar municipality. For hospitality, generosity, and brotherly support to Kosovo citizens, today I have decorated the residents of Cegrain with the Order of Liberty”, Thaci said.
