Kosovo's political affairs director, Blerim Burjani, has told Kosovo Radio that he does not see any major pre-election coalition either between the LDK and the VV or any other party. He added that the only coalitions that can be made during this period are those of small parties.
Two days before the end of the deadline for pre-election coalition statements at the Central Election Commission, no party has yet done so.
Even pre-election coalitions from the largest parties in the country do not even see the connoisseur of political issues, Blerim Burjani.
According to him, the alleged coalitions so far in the middle of LDK and VV are not expected to happen, but neither the AAK and PDK are seen to make any major moves.
“We are in a political marketing especially that made the VV and the transition of people from the PDK to this political subject constantly. Interestingly, the other major PDK party is very silent. And it's very interesting that they've always been loud in the parade and on the other side. The LDK, which is constantly trying to coalition with the VV and in my opinion this coalition will not happen at all”, Buryan said.
Burjani said Kosovo citizens have no interest in this election, until she added that the largest number of voters would be around 400,000.
According to him, candidates declared for prime minister so far are of different profiles, but not of the economy, which currently needs Kosovo to stop the flight of young people from the country.
While, the failure of any pre-election coalition in the CEC has confirmed even its spokesman, Valmir Elesi, who told Radio Kosovo that the deadline for this has opened yesterday (27 August) and is expected to be completed on 30 August at 24:00.
“Affat for a certificate application of political subjects and candidates started 27 August and ends on September 6th. The CEC has set the deadline for August 30th until 24:00 for statements by political parties seeking certificates through the coalition. Political parties, which do not announce they will compete in the elections as part of the coalition, cannot apply for the coalition after that term”, Elezi has said.
The election campaign for extraordinary central elections is expected to open on 25 September and last until 4 October, while the day of voting is October 6th.
