Supreme Military Council (YAS), headed by President Tayip Erdogan, met to discuss promotions, layoffs and deployment of top military personnel on August 1st of this year, Reuters writes, broadcasts the Kosovo Clan.
The resignations by a large general and four Brigadier generals were handed over as a response to council decisions, described by retired military officers as an attempt to make the Turkish army smaller.
