For his part, senior US official Mike Pompeo has declared after this meeting that normalising Serbia's reports with Kosovo will strengthen the stability and prosperity of Serbia and the Western Balkans.
“A productive lunch meeting with President Vuciq, about Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and Serbia's EU accession. The normalisation of reports with Kosovo will strengthen the stability of Serbia, the Western Balkans and the transatlantic community”, it has written on social networks after the meeting.
Meanwhile, the head of the Serbian state has declared they have America's support for lifting the tax imposed by Kosovo authorities in November last year.
