Important Warning for Educators of the 1990s

The Ministry of Labour and Social Management, through an announcement, has revealed the way the application was applied for the 1990-1999 education pensioners.

“None of the former Albanian education workers of the Republic of Kosovo who have worked for the 1990/91 period until the 1998/99 school year, that from 1508.2019 MPMS starts implementing the No.06/L-073 Law on the Status of Albanian Education Ministers of the Republic of Kosovo, so with the goal of implementing this right, it is announced that the requirements for additional compensation could be handed over to the nearest pensions offices”, it reportedly.

Those who submit the requirements from 1508.2019 to 31,11.2019, are said to be far as the deadline is open, to realise the right to retroactive compensation, meaning from the date of law entry No.06/L-073 on the status of Albanian Education Workers of the Republic of Kosovo (April 2019).

The request should link these documents:

• Copying the permission to announce the Republic of Kosovo;

• Extract of birth;

• Exacteration of adultery (for family retirement);

• Property tax bill;

• Confirming by the Municipal Education Directorate, or Rectorate for the period of service in the Albanian education system of the Republic of Kosovo;

• Copying the decision for the beneficiaries of basic pension, respectively, contributed.

“MPMS appealed to all former Albanian education workers of the Republic of Kosovo from 1990/91 to 1998/99 school year, to abide by deadlines for submitting demand, while necessary forms and guidelines can be obtained in all Pension offices. Do not preemptive the request, respectively, of not complying with requirements for motioning, bears the consequences of default pension retroactivity”, the report says.

We remember that this compensation is provided under the Law for the status of Albanian education workers of the Republic of Kosovo from 1990 to 1999, which has been adopted in February this year but has not yet begun its implementation in practice.

Teaching in Kosovo during the 1990s has been held in houses-schools, according to parallel organisation that Albanian political representatives had then established, rejecting submission to Belgrade's policy and the then-Serbian former elite Slobodan Milosevic./Periscopi/
